Bax basil smash

This zingy cocktail makes a great treat to go with lunch or light food pairings. The bright flavours really hit the spot when you fancy a pick-me-up.

Tangy   Bright   Citrus


  • 60ml Bax Botanics Verbena
  • 8 large basil leaves
  • 20ml lemon juice
  • 10ml sugar syrup (1:1 sugar + water)
  • Garnish with a sprig of basil

Muddle the basil in a cocktail shaker, then add the other ingredients. Shake with ice then strain into a tumbler over fresh ice.
Garnish with basil leaves and serve.

• 50ml Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn
• 1 tsp Bergamot and orange marmalade
• 25ml Blood orange juice
• 12.5ml Tonic syrup
• Ice

Shake with ice and strain into a glass, garnish with orange wheels and blooms.

Refreshing    Floral   Citrus


• 25ml Bax Botanics Verbena
• 25ml Elderflower cordial
• 15ml Jasmine syrup
• 80ml Lemonade
• Juice of half a lime
• 6 mint leaves
• A handful of red amaranth leaves (optional)
• Crushed ice

Add the ice and herbs to your glass. then add the syrups, lime juice and Bax Botanics, stir and top up with lemonade and more ice if needed. Garnish and serve with a straw.

Southside cocktail alcohol free


If you want to impress your friends with an alcohol-free aperitif try this – packed with flavour this Southside has a depth and intensity that’s second to none.

Intense   Citrus   Fresh


• 50ml Bax Botanics Verbena
• 20ml lime juice
• 20ml sugar syrup
• 10-12 mint leaves – smacked
• A few ice cubes
• Fresh mint to garnish

Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker, shake well and strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with a mint leaf – optional.


The classic Gin Rickey is just gin, lime and soda, adding cherry syrup gives you a Cherry Rickey. Here we swap gin for Bax Botanics Verbena which gives a freshness to balance the lime and the beautifully tart cherry syrup.

Vibrant    Fruity  Sour


• 40ml Bax Botanics Verbena
• 20ml fresh lime juice
• 15ml cherry syrup
• 6 fresh mint leaves
• Crushed ice

Make a cherry syrup with fresh or frozen cherries. Cook gently the sieve and sweeten the juice a little then return to the pan to heat through and thicken a little.  This will keep in the fridge for up to a week.

Combine all the ingredients in a glass, garnish with cherries and lime and serve with a straw.

Herbal   Fresh   Apple


• 35ml Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn
• 25ml Apple juice
• No.1 Botanicals Thyme soda
• Ice
• A sprig of fresh thyme to garnish

Mix together the Bax Sea Buckthorn and apple juice, pour into an ice filled highball glass and top up with the thyme soda. Garnish with the thyme sprig


Inspired by classic Summer cups like Pimms, this fruity spritz pairs strawberries and zesty kombucha with aromatic Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn. Designed by the incredibly talented Zanna Mercer of Drinkbright. “Perfect for a lazy afternoon in the sun”.

Summery    Berry   Zesty


• 50ml Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn
• 100ml kombucha or ginger ale
• 3 strawberries halved
• 20ml lemon juice
• 20ml sugar syrup
• Ice

Put the strawberries lemon juice and syrup into your glass and muddle lightly, top with ice, pour over Bax Sea Buckthorn and kombucha and garnish with more strawberries of a sprig of rosemary.


Voted Britain’s favourite cocktail in 2018. This alc-free version has all the flavours of the classic without the after effects.  Originally created back in the early 2000’s by the amazing Douglas Ankrah, the controversial name of this cocktail was never meant to be about sex, but all about being decadent, luxurious and provocative.

Sharp    Sweet  Fragrant


• 50ml Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn
• 1 Passion fruit
• 5ml Vanilla Extract
• 30ml Sugar syrup
• 8ml Lime juice
• A few cubes of Ice

• 4 mint leaves

Slice the passion fruit two thirds of the way along and reserve the smaller piece for garnish.
Scoop the pulp from the Passion fruit into a cocktail shaker and add all the other ingredients. Shake well for a minute then double strain into a Martini glass. Serve with the small piece of passion fruit floating in the cocktail and a little glass of bubbly on the side. We have used Thomson & Scott Noughty here but of course choose your favourite.

Cocktails with wild ingredients alcohol free


An alcohol-free twist on a Margarita with a taste of the wild.  If you don’t have a lovely fragrant spruce tree to hand you can substitute a strip of grapefruit zest.

Zingy    Bright   Sherbet


• 50ml Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn
• 10ml Fresh lime juice
• 25ml simple sugar syrup
• 3 spruce tips 3cm long (or a 2cm strip of grapefruit zest)
• Sea salt
• Ice

Salt the rim of your glass by wiping around it with half a like and dipping it in sea salt. Muddle the spruce tips (or grapefruit zest) in a shaker, add the Bax Sea Buckthorn, lime juice, syrup and a few cubes of ice.  Shake very well and strain into the glass.

A zingy alcohol-free version of this superb classic, here celebrating the luxurious flavours of Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn.

• 50ml Bax Sea Buckthorn
• 50ml cranberry juice
• A squeeze of orange juice
• A squeeze of lime juice
• Crushed ice
• Garnish with lime

Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker give it a good shake and strain into a chilled Martini glass. Garnish with fresh lime.
