Verbena Tom Collins

If you want make this drink extra special, infuse Bax Verbena with butterfly pea flowers. 10 flowers turn a 500ml Bax Botanics purple overnight!

  • 50ml Bax Botanics Verbena
  • 10ml elderflower cordial
  • 10ml lemon juice
  • 100ml lemonade

Stir together the top three ingredients, pour over ice and top up with lemonade. Garnish with edible flowers and lemon.

Bax Bramble

Bax Sea Buckthorn with blackberry and lemon makes a perfect mix of sweet and sour.

• 50ml Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn
• 10ml blackberry syrup
• 100ml Fever-tree Sicilian lemonade
• lemon, blackberries and mint to garnish

first make the blackberry syrup.  Makes approx 500ml
240ml of water, 240g sugar, 250g of fresh or frozen blackberries. Simmer gently for 20 minutes. Cover and leave to cool. Strain the liquid through a fine sieve and store in a sterilised bottle for up to 2 weeks in the fridge.

Shake the Bax Botanics and Blackberry syrup with ice and strain into a tall glass over ice. Top with Sicilian lemonade and garnish.

Bax French 75

This really packs a fresh and lively punch: Bright herbs, tangy lemon and bubbly complexity!

  • 25ml Bax Botanics Verbena
  • 5ml lemon juice
  • 7ml sugar syrup
  • sparkling wine
  • Lemon twist to garnish

Shake the top three ingredients with ice then strain into a mini coupe and top with AF sparkling wine. Garnish with a beautiful twist of lemon.

Buck & Kick

Rich and strong with length on the palate and a chilli kick.

  • 60ml Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn
  • 4 full droppers New Orleans Bitters @Allthebitter or other bitters to taste
  • 7ml (0.5oz) Maple Syrup
  • quarter tsp Chilli Jam

Stir together with a strip of fresh red chilli and ice in a jug. Then strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice and garnish with chilli.

Southside

If you want to impress your friends with an alcohol-free aperitif try this – packed with flavour this Southside has a depth and intensity that’s second to none.

• 50ml Bax Botanics Verbena
• 20ml lime juice
• 20ml sugar syrup
• 10-12 mint leaves – smacked
• A few ice cubes
• Fresh mint to garnish

Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker, shake well and strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with a mint leaf – optional.

AF Cosmopolitan

A zingy alcohol-free version of this superb classic, here celebrating the luxurious flavours of Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn.

• 50ml Bax Sea Buckthorn
• 50ml cranberry juice
• A squeeze of orange juice
• A squeeze of lime juice
• Crushed ice
• Garnish with lime

Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker give it a good shake and strain into a chilled Martini glass. Garnish with fresh lime.

Rosemary Floradora

Bax Verbena with ginger, lime and raspberries is phenomenal!

  • 50ml Bax Botanics Verbena
  • 4 Fresh raspberries
  • 20ml ginger syrup
  • 12ml fresh lime juice
  • Ice and rosemary
  • Ginger beer – (around 100ml)

Shake the ingredients with ice apart from the ginger beer and rosemary. Then strain into a highball glass with ice. Top up with ginger beer and garnish with raspberries and rosemary

Coffee Passiontini

Passionfruit, coffee and Bax Sea Buckthorn: simple and delicious!

  • 50ml Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn
  • 20ml passionfruit syrup @monin_uk
  • 1 level teaspoon instant coffee
  • orange twist for garnish

Using instant coffee gives the cocktail a lovely foam.
Shake well with ice then strain into a mini coupe glass.
It’s also great with soda for a longer drink!

Green Goddess

First juice half a cucumber in a liquidiser and strain it through a fine sieve.

  • 50ml Bax Botanics Verbena
  • Small handful of mint leaves
  • Juice of half a lime
  • 10ml cucumber juice
  • 90ml lemonade

Muddle together the mint and lime juice in a shaker, add the cucumber juice, Bax Botanics and ice. Shake then strain and garnish with lime

One For The Boys

Smoky, sweet, sour, bitter, and fruit: The flavours here balance beautifully!

  • 60ml Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn
  • 45ml pomegranate juice
  • 25ml maple Syrup
  • 15ml lemon juice

Press pomegranate seeds (arils) to extract the juice.

Then combine the ingredients and shake with ice. Strain into a glass over fresh ice.

Bax Basil Smash

This zingy cocktail makes a great treat to go with lunch or light food pairings. The bright flavours really hit the spot when you fancy a pick-me-up.

  • 60ml Bax Botanics Verbena
  • 8 large basil leaves
  • 20ml lemon juice
  • 10ml sugar syrup (1:1 sugar + water)
  • Garnish with a sprig of basil

Muddle the basil in a cocktail shaker, then add the other ingredients. Shake with ice then strain into a tumbler over fresh ice.
Garnish with basil leaves and serve.

Hedge Hopper

Warming fruit and caramel blends perfectly with fragrant rosemary.

• 50ml Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn
• 80ml sparkling apple juice
• 5ml caramel syrup
• 30ml Sugar syrup
• rosemary and dried apple to garnish

Muddle the rosemary in the bottom of a jug with the Bax and syrup, add the apple juice and stir. Pour into the glass.

Verbena Club

Zingy, bright, velvety and indulgent are the words we think describe this cocktail best…and pink!

• 50ml Bax Botanics Verbena
• 15ml lemon juice
• 10ml aquafaba 
• 25ml butterfly pea syrup (homemade)

This colour change cocktail is sure to impress.
Pour the top 3 ingredients into a cocktail shaker add the blue syrup, shake well with ice. Strain the now pink cocktail into a coupe glass.

Bax Berry Martini

This is as simple as it is delicious – and perfect for those who like a sweeter drink.

• 50ml Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn
• 20ml/2 heaped tsp dark berry jam (blackberry or similar
• 10ml lemon juice
• Ice

Shake with ice and strain into a martini glass, garnish with red carnation petals or a little gold leaf.

Verbena Iced Tea

Fragrant Bergamot, soft tannins and the flavours of Bax Verbena make gorgeous layers.

  • 50ml Bax Botanics Verbena
  • 75ml Earl Grey Tea
  • 15ml Apple Juice
  • 10ml Sugar Syrup
  • Lemon zest to garnish

Make a strong brew of Earl Grey tea, cool, then chill in the fridge. Stir the ingredients together with ice then strain into a tea glass over ice. Garnished with lemon.

Buckthorn Ginger Spritz

“A refreshing spicy alternative to a whisky highball” says Decanter magazine. “Sea Buckthorn; earthy, fruity, spicy, herbal and tangy with a lip-smacking bitter finish!

  • 50ml Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn
  • 150ml Ginger beer

Pour the Bax Sea Buckthorn over ice and top with your favourite ginger beer. Garnish with a twist of orange zest.

Blueberry Mojito
